Head of Business Intelligence and Analytics Location: Leicester Salary: Between £72,500 - £87,000 Car/Allowance, Bonus, Flexible working, Pension and other Excellent Benefits I seek a Business Intelligence Manager for an established organisation that are known for being dynamic, rapidly growing, career and changing, that also works to make its employees the best they can be, and most importantly create a working environment that brings the best out of its people. This organisation are going through an impressive growing phase as it starts to accelerate the use of working with the latest technologies within Business Intelligence and Analytics reporting tools, including Power BI and Tableau. Your role will be responsible for the quality and technical approach taken by a team of 16 direct reports, that include currently; a BI Manager, Head of Innovation and Analytics, Data Architect, BI Developer Team Lead, BI & Data Warehouse Senior and Medium level Developers, SQL Developers, SQL Database Administrators, and SQL Report Analysts, and your fist task will be to improve the quality of service it delivers internally and externally, that will include advising and managing a development strategy for the team to meet the company's goals and objectives, with your time being spent evenly across each. To plan for team growth considering the blend/level of skills required within team To assist in resourcing decisions To review project progress and overview of the performance of all individuals in team To keep up to date with the latest BI / MI technologies and methodologies To facilitate technology and methodology decision making throughout team, including standardisation of system architecture, source control and deployment processes The ideal applicant will have experience of following IT developments and come from a BI / MI or Data Analytics background. Working closely with Line managers to ensure projects are running smoothly and on time and budget. In addition to sufficient technical understanding and skills, they are looking for someone who is an excellent forward-thinking leader and manager, who can persuade non-technical people of the benefits and risks of different courses of action, and who has an understanding of, and interest in, the business of research and of product development.
