Our client, a major manufacturer based in Desford with a globally recognised brand, has just made available a six month contract opportunity for a Design Engineer / Compact Wheel Loader Detailer to join their team. In this role you will be responsible for the design / detailing of components and assemblies which could include hydraulic lines groups, light fabrications, castings, non-metallics and a variety of other installations. You will demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and determination to resolve issues while maintaining high quality standards in both design and component detailing, ensuring designs are validated to meet functional and technical requirements. In order to do this you will have a working knowledge of solid modelling (ideally CREO), geometric tolerancing and engineering data management systems. Key Responsibilities of the Design Engineer / Compact Wheel Loader Detailer CAD Design of components and assemblies Completion of component and group drawings Involving other engineers and technical resources to address detailed technical problems Working with design resources and suppliers to rapidly implement design changes Collaborating with other business functions and systems to resolve issues quickly and efficiently Qualifications and Experience required for the Design Engineer / Compact Wheel Loader Detailer Engineering degree or extensive relevant experience CAD, ideally Creo Geometric tolerancing Ability to understand detailed drawings and technical specifications Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint) Good mechanical aptitude Team player with the ability to interact positively with all functions and organisation levels Self-starting, with a natural sense of urgency Productive and able to manage own work Good communicator Flexibility and ability to operate under pressure To apply, please send us a copy of your up to date CV clearly indicating your relevant experience.
