Position: HR Advisor Location: Nuneaton, Warwickshire Job Type: Full Time, Fixed Term Contract 9 months Hours: Monday - Friday 8.30 - 5 Salary: £25k per annum About the role: The HR Advisor will provide comprehensive expert HR advice to UL colleagues and management covering all areas of the employee lifecycle including absence and performance management, employee relations and L&D. Responsibilities: - Be the first point of contact over the telephone and email for end to end HR Advice - Assist with the development of local and group HR policies and procedures - Escalate, performance, capability and long term absence cases to HR Consultants - Support the maternity process in accordance with current legislation & Company Policy - Provide support in potential final / dismissal disciplinary hearings and grievance hearings - Liaise with managers to ensure colleague and corporate inductions have been completed and relevant paperwork is returned to the central HR Support office - Create basic HR training modules and deliver these and other training and development activities / interventions as required in conjunction with the HR Consultants - Support HR Consultants during projects associated with business change (restructures, TUPE etc.) - Assist with the facilitation of Employee Engagement feedback workshops following the annual survey - Ensure all HR advisor activities have relevant standard operating procedures and actively pursue the elimination of waste through the application of continuous improvement tools and techniques About you: - Educated to A Level (minimum) or equivalent - CPP qualified / working towards CIPD - Previous experience of working in a busy HR department in a generalist advisory capacity / similar role - Previous experience of supporting change management - conducting TUPE / Redundancy consultations - Thorough understanding of HR processes and procedures - Up to date, working knowledge of current UK employment law - Experience of supporting in disciplinary / grievance hearings up to and including dismissals - Proven experience of working in a confidential environment - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially via email and telephone - IT literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel) - Familiar with using HR databases - CIPD Qualified desirable - SHL Level II or BPS Level B desirable You may have experience of the following: HR Advisor, Human Resources Advisor, HR Assistant, Human Resourcer Assistant, HR Officer, Human Resources Officer, HR Administrator, Human Resources Administrator, CIPD etc. This vacancy is being advertised by EasyWeb Recruitment, the UK's leading Online Recruitment Agency.
