Head Kitchen Porter Leicester Tigers Salary: 20k per annum benefits Our client, the nation's fastest-growing event hospitality company serving professional sports clients, convention centers, and heritage venues across the United Kingdom and North America, is looking for an experienced Head Kitchen Porter to join their existing team. You will be responsible for the management of the portering team at Tigers, ensuring all kitchens are maintained from a cleanliness perspective, taking full responsibility for all cleaning materials, COSSH training through close liaison with the Chemical supplier rep. Accepting deliveries and maintaining back of house storage areas. Duties & Responsibilities: - Daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules to be completed and checked by Sous Chef - Assist in the preparation and cleaning of kitchen and Back of House areas - Ensure all cleaning materials should be stored appropriately when not being used - Assist in basic food preparation duties as and when delegated by Sous Chef - Accept deliveries as directed by the Sous Chef. - Brief and train a committed and drive porterage team - Ensure all kitchen areas are maintained in a safe working manner in line with company policies and procedures and in line with food safety legislation. - Report faulty equipment and structural defects through the stadium maintenance reporting system on a daily basis or as required. - Preparation of dishwashers for daily use, ensuring all correct chemicals are in place, porters are trained on the use of the machinery, and the cleaning of the machines post event. - Instil into the porterage team a culture of essential hygiene practises. - Adhere to COSHH regulations and hazard risk assessments. - Ensure compliance of all food hygiene and health and safety regulations. Qualification and experience: - Worked in a similar position - Experience in a hospitality environment - A good standard or English and Math's educated to GCSE level or equivalent. - Level 2 Food Hygiene Certification or equivalent. - COSHH awareness. - Basic health and Safety knowledge - Intermediate food hygiene certificate (preferred) Skills & Knowledge: - Able to supervise and motivate a team - Problem solving capabilities - Previous experience of working in a Stadium environment or equivalent event venue. - Knowledge of handling and operating kitchen based equipment.
