Engineering Manager- Anaerobic Digestion
H9 Technical recruitment are currently looking to recruit an Engineering Manager for a market-leading Waste and Recycling company, based in Leicester, West Midlands. You will play a senior role in the management and operational production of a Composting and Anaerobic Digestion facility. Reporting to the Plant Manager some of your key duties will include: - Take overall responsibility for day to day engineering function ensuring prioritisation of workload, compliance with all applicable business and legislative documentation and requirements - Develop, implement and maintain a planned preventative maintenance and inspection programme to minimise downtime, provide records of recurring events and develop engineering solutions. - Deliver satisfactory process equipment availability. - Diagnose faults and ensure effective repairs are completed with minimal interruption to the processing operations - Develop and implement a 'Right First Time' culture for plant repairs, whilst also ensuring root cause analysis is performed to 'bottom out' issues - Liaise with external contractors for support and specific project - Manage CAPEX projects and major installation/improvement works - Control plant maintenance, facility and spares expenditure in line with budget - Ensure effective communication with both internal and external customers - Ensure compliance with all Company policies, processes and procedures. - Ensure utilisation of the CMMS process; develop the same and review effectiveness of PPM programme in line with both engineering and process capabilities - Develop and maintain budgets in line with business and legislative requirements - Actively seek to introduce new methodology, techniques and processes to drive a continuous improvement methodology within the immediate and wider team - Promote a safe working environment through effective leadership and leading by example Candidate Profile: - Minimum HND in Engineering related field - NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent - IT literate - 5-years Engineering Management Experience - Mechanical experience - Experience with PLC controlled equipment, variable speed drives, low voltage equipment, instrumentation, pneumatic systems. - Budgets and cost control - Experience in computerised control systems (SCADA) operations - Proven track record of working to clearly defined KPI's - Proven track record of delivering continuous improvement within an operational environment - Implementation of new processes and developments - Development and experience of PC based PPM system - Experience of maintaining and developing Health & Safety procedures.
