An exciting opportunity has arisen for Lead Supplier Auditor to join our team in Derby. As a Lead Supplier Auditor you will work in the Control Systems SCU within Rolls-Royce. Control Systems is split between Derby, Birmingham, Germany and the USA, and the role will be based in Derby. Control Systems has a large external supply base for design engineering which requires oversight in line with aerospace responsibilities. You will coordinate a team of auditors to perform regular audits of the external supply base in line with the risk assessed plan. The role will require regular international travel, where the lead auditor will perform some of the supplier audits. We deliver the best jet engines in the world. Key Accountabilities Run and maintain the plan and budget for external supply base oversight. Lead a team of supplier auditors. Perform a number of UK and international supplier audits each year. Work with suppliers to ensure any audit findings are suitably closed out. Provide recommendations for addition or removal of supplier approval codes. Report progress and findings to Rolls-Royce Central Engineering Quality. Coordinate training of new auditors. Qualifications Lead auditor accredited by national or international association. Lead auditor accredited by Rolls-Royce for both internal and external Design audits is desirable. Degree qualified with strong technical background in both electronics hardware and software development or equivalent. Management skills for both budgetary and resource planning. Presentation skills to highest management levels. Strong character able to liaise with supplier upper management.
