About the role: An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic Cylinder Head Technician within our Assembly/Machine shop near Burton-on-Trent. You will be fully responsible for working on cylinder heads for historic and classic sports and race cars, particularly Austin Healey’s and Jaguar E-Type’s. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate and be responsible to: · Dismantle, clean, check, test and rebuild cylinder heads including all components · Re-machine heads and components on purpose built modern machines and re-build heads for final inspection · Produce quality workmanship · Verbally report problems occurred to senior managers · Work directly with the shop technicians and parts department · Keep work areas clean and tidy · Any other duties as assigned The position requires: · A strong mechanical background · A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Automotive industry essential · Ability to problem solve · Exceptional communication and organisation skills · Able to work independently and as part of a team · Must have own transport due to location Applicants must have a flexible approach to work and a full understanding of customer satisfaction. Applicants should be able to work to tight time frames as necessary. This is a full time position working a 40 hour week with overtime available. Please state current salary upon application.
