3rd Line Support Analyst / Wintel Server Engineer
3rd Line Support Analyst/Wintel Server Engineer with solid experience of providing 3rd Line BAU support on Windows Server based platforms and Active Directory/Group Policy is required to join a proactive and dynamic team tasked with resolving a wide range of issues for this national retail/logistics/supply-chain organisation. The successful 3rd Line Support Analyst/Wintel Server Engineer will be a proactive individual used to communicating across the business and the wider IT community to resolve a variety of issues across the IT estate and to not be just focused on Wintel technologies. In the manager's words "this will not suit applicants looking for a cosy desk job being spoon-fed tickets to resolve. The main emphasis is to get out there, figure it out and to fix it even if it is not within your full remit or comfort zone." In addition to supporting the Wintel physical and virtual stacks, and mentoring 2nd Line Support Analysts, the successful 3rd Line Support Analyst/Wintel Server Engineer will also be required to get involved in other tools & technology, if skills suit, to include: Office 365 Cloud Services, SQL Server databases and web services, data backup processes, automation, disaster recovery, Redhat Linux server support, PowerShell scripting or Kaseya, Kaspersky virus protection monitoring and Cisco network support. 3rd Line Support Analysts/Wintel Server Engineers applying MUST have demonstrable hands-on technical Wintel Server/AD skills coupled with proven experience of performing similar work in similar environments to qualify.
