Opportunities are available for exceptional, Senior Care Assistants and Care Assistants to join an established, family run luxury Nursing Home. Wyndley Grange Nursing Home is located in a beautiful lakeside setting, on the edge of Sutton Park Nature Reserve. Sutton Town Centre is within walking distance, and offers excellent transport links by bus and train. We offer a range of services for our residents, including nursing, respite and end of life care, and remain committed to providing a high standard of nursing care. We also value the important contribution our Care Assistants make to the quality of our residents care. Successful Care Assistants will earn £7.50 to £8.34 per hour, dependant on experience. Flexible shifts are available, with the Nursing Home requiring both day and night shift cover.

As a Care Assistant, you will consistently deliver a high standard of care to all our residents, working under the direction of the Registered Nurse. You will fully support or assist residents to maintain all activities of daily living, ensuring that their personal care, physical and emotional needs are met with dignity. You will have excellent communication skills and ensure all residents, relatives and visitors are addressed in a professional manner. Most importantly you will have a caring and compassionate disposition.

For the Senior Care Assistant role, you will also:
  • Assist the Registered Nurses in the planning of care, participating in the evaluation and review of each resident for whom you are a key worker
  • Make daily records on progress as necessary
  • Act as a role model to less experienced Care Assistants providing support and direction, ensuring all allocated tasks are delivered to a high standard
Senior Care Assistants will possess an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, and have a minimum of 2 years experience in Direct Care, preferably within an older person setting. In addition, you will also have proven experience in the supervision, allocation and co-ordination of work to less experienced Care Assistants. You will be organised, able to prioritise care and have the ability to work under your own initiative.

Care Assistants will possess an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, and preferably have some experience of working in an older person setting. You will have a keen interest in working with older people and a desire to make a difference.
