PepsiCo is on the lookout for an experienced R&D Product Development Project Manager to join our Snacks team based at our R&D facility in Leicester on a 12 month fixed term contract. In this role you'll lead the R&D innovation of multiple Snacks projects to support the Western Europe Region from initial scoping through to launch. This is a great role which will see you work on some of our biggest brands and some of our most exciting marketing initiatives in the fastest growing snacks category. Principal Accountabilities: Manage Snacks innovation projects (new launches, brand maintenance, renovation, quality & product specifications) to support the Western Europe innovation calendar. Leverage a combination of functional and business expertise to develop the technical elements of winning consumer propositions that drive sustainable business growth and support the Snacks Innovation Strategy. In relation to specific Innovation Projects, project manage product development cycle from ideation to launch to meet agreed timeline and benchmarks, providing updates to Line Manager. Play a key role in the cross-functional projects teams by representing R&D views/agenda with functions such as Marketing and Supply Chain. Provide updates on development progress on a regular basis. Coordinate overall scale-up activities in plants by liaising closely with Operations. Demonstrate effective use of available planning tools and processes to schedule work activities and goals with minimal supervision. Collaborate with peers to secure and organise shared resources for project goals. Leveraging expertise inside and outside the organisation to deliver product and process development solutions. Up to 20% travel is required for this role. Essential Skills: Graduate in a Food Science or related discipline or equivalent. Previous experience in Fast Moving Consumer Goods R&D, product or technology development roles, and ability to demonstrate established competence at product development. Passion for creativity and innovation within a commercially driven environment. Strives for high standards, seeks innovative solutions, drives continuous improvement of products and processes and demonstrates a high degree of attention to detail. Established project management skills to effectively and efficiently drive multiple projects across different markets. Self-starter, self-motivating: able to balance competing priorities without losing momentum and manage uncertainty and complexity in fast evolving FMCG environments. Ability to quickly analyse complex problems to find actionable pragmatic solutions. Good understanding/appreciation of the broader business environment and application of technical and commercial knowledge during project execution. Understanding of Food Science and Manufacturing. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence with integrity through persuasive communication to win support at more senior levels within R&D and Supply Chain and to build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders from different levels, backgrounds and cultures. Valid driving licence.This role comes with a salary of £38,000 to £42,000 plus bonus and other benefits.
