Jonathan Lee are currently working with an industry leading Chemical business who supply their product to some of the largest organisations in the world across multiple industry sectors. Due to expansion within the team, our client, based in Derbyshire are searching for an Assistant Product Manager to join their team and assist the Product Manager with the following daily tasks: - Assist in the preparation of production forecasts and regular supervision of stock levels in the warehouse, including slow moving stock. - Co-ordinate with the Purchasing Team to ensure raw material stocks meet production and sales requirements - Liaise with the Marketing and Technical departments to maintain current and complete new product labelling - Support in maintaining and updating product approvals and accreditations both in physical and digital form - Maintain close connection with sales team to evaluate reactions to and suitability of present promotional material and to ensure optimal use of printed and digital promotional material. - Assist the Product Manager with the New Product Development process - Deputise for the Product Manager during periods of absence - To play an active role in the resolution of complaints whilst investigating the causes in order to rectify them - Offer the sales team the required technical knowledge that will assist them in selling products. - Monitor the procedures of production to ensure cost effectiveness and leanness of process - Stay up to date with competitor and market developments and trends - Communicate with our marketing and PR partners with regard to product campaigns comprising conferences, journal advertising, website, social media and direct mail. - To attend sales meetings, conferences, exhibitions and training courses when required by the business. - To represent Arrow Solutions in a professional manner at all times - Comply with company policies at all times, with particular reference to the Health and Safety policy - To carry out all other such duties as might be reasonably be requested by the business The ideal candidate for this position will be able to work with multiple internal and external stakeholders across a range of simultaneous projects and would also possess the following qualifications: - A suitable qualification in business or product management, applied science, other affiliated business fields or demonstrable experience in a similar role. A knowledge of the chemical industry is preferred but not essential - Knowledge of computer packages such as MS Office, forecasting and production related software. - Ability to work efficiently and accurately in order to meet the required deadlines. - Maintain confidentiality at all times in carrying out the tasks of an Assistant Product Manager.
