Job Title:  Senior Graphic Designer

Accountability: Marketing Manager

Hours:   35 per week

Overview of opportunity:           

An excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced organisation as a Senior Graphic Designer. This role encompasses all elements of design management including both online and print. The role will oversee and manage the relationships with external creative agencies, both for online and offline marketing projects. The Senior Graphic Designer is a central and influential role to the Marketing Department and will allow for the candidate to lead consumer campaigns. The role will involve working very closely with our company photographer and in-house editor to develop, create and art-direct campaigns, digital pieces and publications, both for consumers and business owners. 

Role Summary

  • Marketing projects, campaigns and promotions development, providing leadership and    graphic design support where relevant

  • Photography management for campaigns and projects

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that designs communicate Forever’s brand and message with high visual impact
  • Manage the creation, update and edits to literature pieces and other day-to-day tasks
  • Project manage marketing projects and campaigns where necessary
  • Become an advocate of the company for branding and design
  • Work on layouts and artworking pages ready for print
  • Contribute ideas to project briefs
  • Manage campaign and product photography, becoming the main liaison with external photographer (supporting Digital Marketing Team Leader in event requirements)
  • Analyse data on literature sales to establish what attributes to a successful piece
  • Monitor competitor brands and report on findings
  • Monitor trends in design, both from a print and online perspective
  • Advise team members on graphic design, and branding
  • Assist in campaign strategy and planning
  • Attend team meetings and other company events as required
  • Assist all team members to ensure all department responsibilities are fulfilled
  • Observe strict rules of confidentiality with information about FBOs and their Forever businesses
  • Any other reasonable duties required by the Marketing Manager or Head of Marketing
  • Brainstorm and mock-up design concepts that fit marketing projects and campaign needs such as, brochures (both online and print), artwork for social media posts, website assets, product advertisements, and event material such as signage, banners and other collateral
  • Create designs, working to a deadline and present options for design treatments
  • Amend designs according to final comments
  • Manage the relationship with external creative agencies and other related suppliers, co-ordinating brief creation, and project management of work outsourced
  • Develop brand guidelines and maintain brand consistency
  • Actively research emerging technologies and trends in new media (particularly design programmes such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
