Salary: £18,000+ depending on experience
We are looking for a confident and highly motivated individual to provide an administrative and secretarial support service to the Qualifications and Standards Directorate, specifically in relation to Boards, Committees and Working Groups.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience servicing committees, which includes providing detailed minutes of complex discussions. They will also have administrative experience (preferably in a professional body or the not for profit sector), excellent ICT skills and meticulous attention to detail. The post holder will be expected to show initiative with a commitment to providing excellent customer service. A willingness to travel is essential, as is the ability to keep on top of multiple projects and tasks and to work flexibly.
Provide administrative support to the Engineering Department as required.
Arranging travel, hotel accommodation as required for staff during office hours.
Manage administration for the application of airport access (Passes, driving permits, vehicle permits).
Compiling of Technical Dispatch Reliability reports for the Engineering Manager. Person Specification.
Minimum of 3 years administration experience in a high-pressure environment.
Understanding or interest in the aviation industry would be desirable. Excellent IT skills, specifically Microsoft Office and Excel. A professional and friendly attitude, and a customer focused personality. Proactive, confident, self-starter with a proven ability to see the big picture.
Proven planning, organisation and problem-solving skills. Effective interpersonal skills, adaptable to all levels of the organisation. Able to work independently and use own initiative. Ability to work to strict deadlines.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an existing team as a curriculum administrator in the Directorate of Business, Enterprise, Computer Science, Travel and Tourism.
The successful applicant will need to have recent and relevant administrative experience, including excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work on their own initiative. Have highly effective communication and customer service skills within an administrative background and the ability to work accurately and meet tight deadlines.
Applicants need to have GCSE Grade C in Maths and English (or equivalent), relevant IT qualifications and or have experience of using Microsoft packages. The position requires working on more than one site.
