Are you a food business journalist looking to take the next step in your career? Want to join a successful title that's read by major companies including Nestle, Unilever and PepsiCo? If so, our client wants to hear from you. 

Our client is a global B2B publisher that specialises in the automotive, fashion, food and beverage industries. Owning a series of highly successful news and information websites, their customers include some of the largest companies in the world. They're now looking for a Deputy Editor to join their B2B food publication.

This is a senior level role that will see you influence the decisions of management level colleagues and have key input into the strategical direction of a publication and the associated online resources.

What's more, as you'll be working for an international B2B title, you'll have plenty of opportunities to travel to industry events, particularly throughout Europe, so you'll get to see more of the world while you work. 

As a Deputy Editor, you'll provide news coverage, interviews, considered commentary and analysis on the key issues facing the global food industry. 

In this exciting role, you'll report on the strategies of major names in the market as they look to adapt to the underlying changes in consumer habits. 

You will be able to put the news into context, produce analysis on why developments are important for the industry and comment on such matters from a position of authority. 

To be considered, you will need: 

- Experience as a food business journalist 
- Previous experience of writing for the web, such as SEO and social media 
- To be able to produce industry analysis on areas such as company financials, M&A and emerging markets 
- The ability to use creativity to generate new value-added content ideas
- To be able to produce accurate content, sub-edit to a high standard and use excellent numerical reasoning
- An understanding of what drives the growth of B2B publishers 
- The ability to provide strategic input and work with key stakeholders on the direction of publications

Decisive, driven and eager for a challenge, as the Deputy Editor, you'll have exceptional communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative. 

For the right candidate, there is the option to work from home. You will be required to attend our client's office in Bromsgrove for initial training and then two days every month thereafter.
