Markers for Distance Learning Programmes. Reengagement.

Average payment is £25 per unit on a self employed basis, depending on unit size. 

We are one of the largest Further Education Colleges in the UK with more than 22,000 learners studying with us on a wide range of courses. Our mission is to equip people with the skills they need to be successful in education, in work and business and in their personal lives.

Our distance learning programmes are designed to help learners develop skills to support a wide variety of roles within business generally, with some being specific to the health and social care, childcare. security and warehouse industries.

Distance learning markers are needed to assess one or more of the following qualifications:

  • Level 2 Certificate Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events
  • Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Warehousing and Storage
  • Level 2 Certificate in Nutrition and Health
  • Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism
  • Level 2 Certificate in Mental Health Awareness
  • Level 2Certificate in Understanding Behaviour that challenges
  • Level 2 Certificate in Customer Service in Health and Social Care Settings
  • Level 2 Certificate in Introducing Caring for Children and Young People

Markers must:

  • Have a GCSE grade C in English or assessed at Level 2 for Literacy
  • Have a qualification at a level above the course they are assessing
  • Be able to evidence their occupational competency by providing relevant certificates
  • Be able to demonstrate how they are maintaining their occupational competency

Selected tutors are required to provide individual, robust and developmental feedback to learners, whilst ensuring that learners have met the stipulated learning objectives.
