Programme Lead in English, Maths and Supported Learning. 22.2 hours per week. Temporary – up to one year.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our English, Maths and Supported Learning Curriculum Area for a Programme Lead in Skills for Life Maths & English. We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in Maths or English who will be able to deliver on a range of Functional Skills and GCSE courses in a range of college and off-site venues.
Combining lecturing with responsibility for leading and co-ordinating courses and programmes, the Programme Lead will work with a team to plan, deliver and assess learning to achieve student success for cohorts of part-time adult learners. The role will include working with the Programme Area Manager to monitor courses and course data and plan programmes to maximise resource and funding. Ensuring learner progress is tracked and retention and achievement levels are maintained and improved are important features of the Programme Lead's responsibilities. You will also be expected to develop and implement systems/ processes and other improvements to support the management of learning.
Candidates will hold a full teaching qualification, be qualified to level 5 in their specialism and have a track record of delivering high quality teaching and learning. Experience of leading course provision is essential together with the ability to appraise courses using a range of quality and performance indicators and to co-ordinate IQA.
