Job Title: Working Supervisor
Location: Mount Street Depot , Nechells, Birmingham
Salary: Dependent upon skills and experiences
An opportunity has arisen for a Working Supervisor to join our Birmingham contract, based at the Nechells depot and reporting directly to the Assistant Contract Manager.
As Working Supervisor you will lead teams delivering grounds maintenance works including grass cutting, horticultural maintenance including bedding displays, shrub bed maintenance, Park attendance, playground inspection and maintenance, fine turf maintenance and small landscaping projects across the contracts. You will also assist the management team in all areas of contract management directing and supporting staff to achieve required outcomes.
The ideal candidate must be a self motivated individual with a flexible approach. A pro active and positive, professional attitude is essential as well as an ability to work well under pressure.
The successful candidate must be able to plan and efficiently organise their time in order to achieve and the set standards of contract delivery. The role will be involved in daily activities such as leading and monitoring a number of grounds maintenance teams, as well as hands on delivery of various tasks relating to the maintenance of parks and open spaces including cemeteries.
Health and Safety is an important aspect of the role and the Working Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the safety of the site and team members. This role will also be liaising with clients and maintaining the standard of work through quality control.
Traffic management NRSWA Unit 002 or 010 is desirable.
The successful candidate will ideally also hold PA1 and PA6 certificates.
A full, clean driving license is essential and category B1 + E is desirable.
