Due to expansion, a 3rd Line IT Support Technician is required to join this Managed IT Services company.

As a 3rd Line, IT Support Technician you will be responsible for providing a high standard of support at all levels to clients on and off site by assisting with hardware and software issues via phone/email and helpdesk system as well as carry out installations, rollouts and migrations. To be successful in this role you will be an effective communicator with strong customer service skills.

You will demonstrate leadership and have a passion for IT with a willingness to learn and desire to become part of our friendly, efficient team. You will need to be able to administrate Office 365 or G Suite to a high level and be comfortable with carrying out migrations to either of the solutions. You will also require a good knowledge of either Windows 10 or macOS.

Duties:
- To provide all levels of technical support; answering support queries via phone/email and helpdesk system.
- To maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries.
- Respond to enquiries from clients and help them resolve any hardware or software problems.
- Maintain a log of any software or hardware problems.
- To document site infrastructures.
- Support users on/off site in the use of computer equipment by providing necessary training and advice.
- To be able to resolve complex technical issues.
- Assist with benchwork and pre-configurations of hardware - workstations, laptops, VOIP phones
- Installation and support of firewalls, routers, switches, WiFi access points, VOIP PBX's (hosted and on-premise) and servers.
- Maintain and monitor virtualised environments.
- Provide support and installations at customer premises.
- Perform client migrations to either Office 365 or G Suite.
- Migration of client data away from traditional File Servers to solutions from O365 or G Suite.

Requirements:
- Proven helpdesk / IT support experience.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent understanding of set-up and configuration for Mac and/or Microsoft Windows systems.
- Very good understanding of networking, switching, routing and firewalling.
- Strong understanding of domain names and how DNS works.
- Qualifications from any or all of the following - Microsoft, Google, Apple, VMware, Cisco and Sophos.
- Very good experience with administering Windows Servers / SBS / Mail servers.
- An experience of virtualised environments.
- Linux experience would be advantageous.
- Web hosting experience preferred - cPanel.
- Experience with VOIP.
- Be confident at administrating either O365 and/or G Suite.
- Be able to demonstrate the use of O365/G Suite apps.
- Able to drive and have a car (expenses paid).
