Our client based in Leicester City Centre is seeking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities will include:
1. Ensure prioritisation of documents is in line to meet company deadlines
2. Authorising payments for suppliers in various currencies including Euro's and Dollars
3. Match documents to the correct cost centre for authorisation
4. Liaise with colleagues and suppliers both by telephone and email
5. Identify and resolve invoice matching queries which include price queries as well as discrepancies
6. Processing rebates and debit notes on the system
7. Reconcile supplier statements to the purchase ledger system predominantly via Excel
8. Document, investigate, and rectify statement to ledger differences.
9. Sorting and prepping the incoming post in the purchase ledger department
10. Escalate any identified issues to the team leader/supervisor
11. Filing and sorting incoming and outgoing branch and supplier queries
12. Any ad-hoc requirements

* You are required to have strong Microsoft Excel skills to include the use of Look-ups and pivot tables.
