A new, key role, controlling both demand and production planning, with Aggregate Industries, leading player in construction solutions.

Planning Manager - Concrete products

Aggregate Industries is a member of the LafargeHolcim Group and a leading supplier of traditional and sustainable construction materials to major building and construction customers. With over 4,000 employees and operations across the UK and Northern Europe, we're committed to helping create a better built environment.

We've identified the need for a dedicated manager to control both demand planning and production planning within our Concrete Product Division.  As Planning Manager reporting to our Supply Chain Manager, you'll develop and maintain processes and behaviours to generate the product plan for the division.  Profiling correct inventory levels at key distribution points to meet sales demand and generating efficient factory production and transfer plans, you'll support the business through the use of effective planning modelling tools and techniques.  Key elements include:

  • delivering a high level of OTIF (on time in full) product availability
  • controlling inventory volume and value across the division to agreed targets
  • co-ordinating and delivering our monthly demand planning process
  • using our performance management system to monitor, evaluate and improve the team's performance.

Highly motivated, driven and willing to go the extra mile to achieve timescales and performance targets, you have a proven track record in manufacturing workload planning, ideally within the construction sector.  A first-class communicator and influencer with colleagues, end-users, stakeholders and suppliers, you're highly customer-focused and committed to exceeding expectations.  With demonstrable proficiency in S&OP processes and techniques, you can also offer:

  • a basic understanding of project management
  • good IT-literacy, especially in MS Office
  • ideally, experience of specialist process and/or manufacturing optimisation techniques such as Six Sigma/Kaizen.
