Experience and Qualifications

  • A minimum 1 year, preferably 2 year's industry experience
  • Cii credits or working towards a Cii qualification
  • Microsoft Office and Intermediate IT skills essential
  • Proven customer service experience essential
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team essential
  • Knowledge of the Standard Life Platform desirable
  • Experience of back office integration desirable
  • Knowledge of Intelliflo desirable

We would ask all candidates to evidence the exams they have passed to date and or current study path

MLi operate a programme of Continuous Professional Development and therefore cover all costs for all study material and examination entry fees once probationary period has been passed.

Administration ‘core role'*

  •     Incoming Post - scanning, saving, labelling and communicating post to team for action
  • Outgoing Post - processing outgoing
  • Scanning - scanning of all financial planning department paperwork into client data, within the correct files and labelling

*Working with Business Support to facilitate

  • Data inputting into our back office systems- data accuracy of records held, client changes, compliance documents (including FF, CA, SC, AML) and inputting new business ‘compliance checklists'
  • Administration of client data through managing of client records, ensuring all folders are labelled correctly and save in the correct location
  • Supporting paraplanning team with ad-hoc administration requests (non-technical)
  • Client and provider contacts - accuracy of data records held within our database
  • Research, preparation and presentation of client valuations and policy reviews
  • Working with the financial controller on client fee reconciliation

Administration ‘supporting paraplanning team'

  • New business processing
  • Private activity - assisting with all private client activity including wealth management - may include contacting providers, clients and professionals - as instructed by paraplanning team. (administration only does not include any technical processing)
  • Corporate activity - assisting with corporate client activity including employee benefits solutions, group pensions/AE and shareholder requirements - as instructed by paraplanning team. (administration only does not include any technical processing)
  • Reviews - supporting paraplanners (administration only)

Compliance including systems and controls

  • Adhering to internal procedures and FCA guidance
  • File monitoring : producing house-keeping audits to ensure data accuracy - this will directly link into file monitoring ‘advice' for paraplanners and advisers to undertake
  • Taking on and completing mini projects as tasked by our operations team to ensure our systems and controls are stress tested and any changes duly implemented.
